Yaa Gyasi（ヤー・ジャシ、1989年生まれ）は、ガーナ系アメリカ人の小説家。ガーナで生まれ、幼少期に家族とともにアメリカへ移住した。歴史、記憶、人種、アイデンティティ、移民、家族のつながりをテーマにした作品で高く評価され、現代アメリカ文学を代表する若手作家の一人として知られている。デビュー作『Homegoing』は、ガーナとアメリカを舞台に数世代にわたる一家の歴史を描き、数々の文学賞を受賞して国際的な注目を集めた。壮大な歴史的視野と繊細な人物描写を融合させた作品を通じて、奴隷貿易の歴史や現代社会に残る人種問題を深く問いかける作家として高く評価されている。
Yaa Gyasi (born 1989) is a Ghanaian American novelist. Born in Ghana, she moved to the United States with her family as a child. She is widely acclaimed for novels that explore history, memory, race, identity, migration, and family across generations.
