安井翔太（やすい しょうた）は、日本のデータサイエンティスト、経済学者。Norwegian School of Economicsで経済学修士号を取得後、2013年にサイバーエージェントに入社。広告効果の検証やアドテクノロジー分野での機械学習、データを用いた意思決定支援に携わり、計量経済学や因果推論と機械学習をビジネスに応用する研究・実践に取り組んできた。『効果検証入門――正しい比較のための因果推論／計量経済学の基礎』では、広告などの施策を実施した人と実施していない人を単純に比較するだけでは、施策の本当の効果を測れない場合があることを示し、ランダム化比較試験、回帰分析、傾向スコア、差分の差分法、回帰不連続デザインなどを用いて、データから因果関係を検証するための考え方と方法を解説している。
Shota Yasui is a Japanese data scientist and economist. After earning a master's degree in economics from the Norwegian School of Economics, he joined CyberAgent in 2013, where he worked on advertising effectiveness, machine learning for advertising technology, and data-driven decision-making. His work has focused on applying econometrics, causal inference, and machine learning to practical business problems. In "Koka Kensho Nyumon: Tadashii Hikaku no Tame no Inga Suiron / Keiryo Keizaigaku no Kiso," he explains why simply comparing people who received an intervention with those who did not can produce misleading conclusions and introduces methods including randomized controlled trials, regression analysis, propensity scores, difference-in-differences, and regression discontinuity designs for estimating causal effects from data.
