谷中 瞳（YANAKA Hitomi）- 計算言語学・自然言語処理研究者、東京大学大学院情報理工学系研究科准教授

谷中瞳（やなか・ひとみ）は、日本の計算言語学者、自然言語処理研究者。東京大学大学院情報理工学系研究科准教授、理化学研究所革新知能統合研究センターチームディレクター。東京大学大学院で博士（情報理工学）を取得。機械学習と記号論理を融合した自然言語理解、意味解析、自然言語推論（NLI）を専門とし、人間のように言葉の意味を理解できるAIの実現を目指した研究に取り組んでいる。人工知能学会論文賞などを受賞。著書に『ことばの意味を計算するしくみ―計算言語学と自然言語処理の基礎』がある。

Hitomi Yanaka is a Japanese computational linguist and researcher in natural language processing. She is an Associate Professor at the University of Tokyo and a Team Director at the RIKEN Center for Advanced Intelligence Project (AIP). After earning her Ph.D. in Information Science and Technology from the University of Tokyo, she has focused her research on natural language understanding, semantic parsing, and natural language inference by integrating machine learning with symbolic logic. Her work aims to develop AI systems capable of understanding the meaning of language in a more human-like way. She is the author of "How Computers Understand Meaning: An Introduction to Computational Linguistics and Natural Language Processing" ("Kotoba no Imi o Keisan Suru Shikumi").
