山本 真麻（YAMAMOTO Maasa）- 翻訳家

山本 真麻は、ノンフィクションやビジネス、IT分野を手がける英日翻訳家。慶應義塾大学で英文学を学び、機械メーカーでの勤務を経て2013年からフリーランスで翻訳に携わる。『世界標準のデータ戦略完全ガイド』では、企業がデータを集める目的から活用の計画までを扱った。『Slackが見つけた未来の働き方』は、時間や場所に柔軟な働き方を組織としてどう実践するかを考える本である。『これまでの経済で無視されてきた数々のアイデアの話』では、車輪付きスーツケースなどを例に、ジェンダーに関する固定観念が技術の発展を妨げてきた歴史を訳している。

Maasa Yamamoto is an English–Japanese translator working on nonfiction, business, and technology. She studied English literature at Keio University, worked for a machinery manufacturer, and began freelancing in 2013. Her translation of Bernard Marr’s Data Strategy concerns the purposes and planning behind corporate uses of data. How the Future Works, by Brian Elliott and colleagues, examines organizational practices for flexible work. Her translation of Katrine Kielos-Marçal’s Mother of Invention explores how assumptions about gender have obstructed technological development, using examples such as the delayed adoption of wheeled suitcases.
