Tsuneyasu Takeda (born 1975) is a Japanese writer and businessperson. Born into the former imperial Takeda family, he is a great-great-grandson of Emperor Meiji. After graduating from the Faculty of Law at Keio University, he began writing and lecturing mainly on constitutional issues, the imperial institution, and Japanese history. In “Katararenakatta Kozokutachi no Shinjitsu,” he examines the history of Japan’s modern imperial family and the development of the imperial institution from the perspective of a descendant of a former imperial branch; the book received the 15th Yamamoto Shichihei Prize.
