竹内 均（TAKEUCHI Hitoshi） - 地球物理学者

竹内均（1920年–2004年）は、地球物理学者。東京大学で研究・教育に携わるとともに、科学雑誌『ニュートン』の初代編集長を務めた。地球や宇宙のしくみを一般読者へ伝える仕事にも力を注ぎ、図解や視覚表現を重視した科学の普及に取り組んだ。

Hitoshi Takeuchi (1920–2004) was a geophysicist at the University of Tokyo and the first editor-in-chief of Newton magazine. Alongside research and teaching, he worked to communicate Earth and space science to general readers. His public communication emphasized accessible visual explanations of scientific ideas.
