高遠 裕子（たかとお ゆうこ）は、経済学、金融、経営などの書籍を手がける翻訳家。1990年に東京大学教養学部を卒業し、銀行系シンクタンクでの勤務を経て翻訳業に携わった。ティナ・シーリグの『20歳のときに知っておきたかったこと』（原題 “What I Wish I Knew When I Was 20”）では、大学での起業家教育や身近な課題への取り組みを通して、問題の見方と創造的な行動を考える書籍を翻訳した。ジョン・A・リストの『そのビジネス、経済学でスケールできます。』（原題 “The Voltage Effect”）では、小規模な成功が規模を広げても再現できるのかを、実験とデータから検討する議論を訳した。また、ベン・S・バーナンキの『21世紀の金融政策』（原題 “21st Century Monetary Policy”）では、インフレ、金融危機、コロナ危機を背景に、米国の中央銀行の政策と制度がどのように変わったかをたどる書籍の日本語訳を担当した。
Yuko Takato is a Japanese translator of books on economics, finance, and management. She graduated from the University of Tokyo’s College of Arts and Sciences in 1990 and worked at a bank-affiliated research institute before entering translation. She translated Tina Seelig’s “What I Wish I Knew When I Was 20,” which explores problem framing and creative action through entrepreneurship education and practical challenges. In John A. List’s “The Voltage Effect,” she translated an examination of why successful small-scale initiatives may fail when expanded, using experiments and evidence to investigate scalability. She also translated Ben S. Bernanke’s “21st Century Monetary Policy,” which traces changes in Federal Reserve policy and institutions through inflation, financial crises, and the coronavirus crisis.
