After graduating from Doshisha University with a degree in philosophy and ethics, he worked in the IT industry before becoming a professional translator. He is widely recognized for his translations of books on cognitive science, neuroscience, psychology, evolutionary biology, and philosophy, making complex scientific ideas accessible to Japanese readers. His notable translations include "How Emotions Are Made," "The Righteous Mind," "Reductionism in Art and Brain Science," "The Four Realms of Existence," and "Nobody's Normal."
