ダニヤル・ムイーヌッディーン（Daniyal Mueenuddin、1963年–）は、パキスタン系アメリカ人の小説家。ロサンゼルスに生まれ、パキスタンとアメリカで育った。ダートマス大学とイェール・ロー・スクールを卒業し、ニューヨークで弁護士として働いたのち、パキスタン南部パンジャーブ州で一族の農場経営に携わった。地主一族と使用人、農場労働者らの相互依存を描いた連作短編集『遠い部屋、遠い奇跡』（In Other Rooms, Other Wonders）は、ストーリー賞とコモンウェルス作家賞を受賞し、全米図書賞およびピュリツァー賞の最終候補となった。『This Is Where the Serpent Lives』（未邦訳）などの作品でも、パキスタン社会における階級、権力、庇護関係、愛と生存を描いている。
Daniyal Mueenuddin (1963–) is a Pakistani American fiction writer. Born in Los Angeles, he grew up in both Pakistan and the United States. After graduating from Dartmouth College and Yale Law School, he practiced law in New York before returning to southern Punjab to manage his family’s farm. His linked story collection “In Other Rooms, Other Wonders,” which portrays the interdependent lives of a landowning family, their servants, managers, and laborers, won The Story Prize and the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize and was a finalist for both the National Book Award and the Pulitzer Prize. In works including “This Is Where the Serpent Lives,” Mueenuddin explores class, power, patronage, love, and survival in Pakistani society.
