Daniel Yergin（ダニエル・ヤーギン、1947年生まれ）は、アメリカのエネルギー史研究者、経済評論家、作家。イェール大学卒業後、ケンブリッジ大学で国際関係論の博士号（Ph.D.）を取得した。世界のエネルギー市場、石油産業、地政学、国際経済を専門とし、エネルギー分野を代表する論客として知られる。市場分析会社S&P Globalの副会長を務め、長年にわたり各国政府や企業のエネルギー政策にも助言している。1991年刊行の『The Prize: The Epic Quest for Oil, Money & Power』は、石油産業の歴史と世界政治を壮大なスケールで描いた名著として高く評価され、1992年のピューリッツァー賞 一般ノンフィクション部門を受賞した。著書に『The Prize』『The Quest』『The New Map』『The Commanding Heights』（共著）などがある。

Daniel Yergin (born 1947) is an American energy historian, economic commentator, and author. After graduating from Yale University, he earned a Ph.D. in International Relations from University of Cambridge. Specializing in global energy markets, the oil industry, geopolitics, and international economics, he is widely regarded as one of the world's leading authorities on energy. He serves as Vice Chairman of S&P Global and has advised governments and major corporations on energy policy and global markets. His landmark book "The Prize: The Epic Quest for Oil, Money & Power" won the 1992 Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction and is considered a classic history of the global petroleum industry. His other notable works include "The Quest: Energy, Security, and the Remaking of the Modern World," "The New Map: Energy, Climate, and the Clash of Nations," and "The Commanding Heights" (co-authored).
