Daniel Tammet (1979–) is a British language researcher. Living with autism and savant syndrome, he draws on his own experiences to explore the nature of cognition, language, memory, and creativity. Fluent in more than a dozen languages, he is also known for his insights into language learning and numerical perception. Combining personal experience with scientific inquiry, his work has contributed to a broader understanding of neurodiversity and the human mind. His best-known book, "Born on a Blue Day", offers a compelling account of his life while exploring the remarkable ways in which his brain perceives the world.
