略歴（Biography）
瀬地山角（せちやま・かく、1963年生まれ）は、日本の社会学者、ジェンダー研究者。東京大学大学院総合文化研究科教授。東京大学教養学部卒業、同大学大学院総合文化研究科博士課程修了、博士（学術）。北海道大学文学部助手を経て東京大学に着任し、ソウル大学留学やHarvard University、University of California, Berkeleyでの客員研究員も務めた。専門はジェンダー論、東アジア研究、社会学で、家族、労働、少子高齢化、セクシュアリティなどをテーマに、東アジアの比較研究を進めている。ユーモアを交えた分かりやすい講義や講演でも知られ、日本におけるジェンダー研究の第一人者の一人として広く活躍している。著書に『お笑いジェンダー論』『東アジアの家父長制』『炎上CMでよみとくジェンダー論』『ジェンダーとセクシュアリティで見る東アジア』などがある。

Kaku Sechiyama (born 1963) is a Japanese sociologist and Professor at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, the University of Tokyo. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo after completing his undergraduate studies there, and previously served as a research assistant at Hokkaido University. He has also been a visiting researcher at Seoul National University, Harvard University, and University of California, Berkeley. Specializing in gender studies, East Asian studies, and sociology, his research explores gender, family, aging societies, and sexuality from a comparative East Asian perspective. Renowned for making complex social issues accessible through engaging lectures and public talks, he is widely regarded as one of Japan's leading scholars of gender studies. His notable books include "Gender Studies through Comedy," "Patriarchy in East Asia," "Understanding Gender through Controversial Advertisements," and "Gender and Sexuality in East Asia."
