セルデン・ロッドマン（Selden Rodman、1909年 - 2002年）は、アメリカの詩人、作家、美術批評家。ニューヨーク生まれ。イェール大学卒業後、政治・文化誌『Common Sense』を共同創刊・編集し、詩、戯曲、伝記、旅行記、美術批評など幅広い分野で執筆した。第二次世界大戦後にはハイチの美術運動に深く関わり、ポルトープランスのCentre d’Artで活動するなど、ハイチやラテンアメリカの民衆芸術をアメリカに紹介した。"Conversations with Artists"（未邦訳）では、ジャクソン・ポロック、ウィレム・デ・クーニング、マーク・ロスコ、エドワード・ホッパー、フランク・ロイド・ライトら同時代の芸術家との対話を記録し、作品だけでは捉えにくい制作への考え方や芸術観を、本人たちの言葉を通して伝えている。
Selden Rodman (1909–2002) was an American poet, writer, and art critic. Born in New York City and educated at Yale University, he co-founded and edited the political and cultural magazine "Common Sense" and wrote extensively across poetry, drama, biography, travel, and art criticism. After World War II, he became deeply involved with the emerging Haitian art movement and served as co-director of the Centre d’Art in Port-au-Prince, helping bring Haitian and Latin American popular art to wider attention in the United States. In "Conversations with Artists," Rodman records his conversations with major figures of twentieth-century art, including Jackson Pollock, Willem de Kooning, Mark Rothko, Edward Hopper, and Frank Lloyd Wright, capturing their ideas about art and the creative process in their own words.
