Sebastian Mallaby(セバスチャン・マラビー、1964年生まれ)は、イギリス出身のジャーナリスト、ノンフィクション作家。オックスフォード大学で歴史学を学んだ後、英国の経済紙やThe Washington Postで記者・コラムニストとして活躍した。現在はCouncil on Foreign Relationsのシニアフェローを務め、国際経済、金融市場、投資、中央銀行、グローバル化を中心に研究・執筆を続けている。綿密な取材と豊富な資料に基づく評伝や経済ノンフィクションで高い評価を受け、とりわけ金融史や投資の世界を人物を通して描く作品で知られる。複雑な経済や金融の仕組みを歴史的背景とともにわかりやすく解説する現代を代表する経済ジャーナリストの一人である。
Sebastian Mallaby (born 1964) is a British journalist, nonfiction author, and expert on international economics and finance. After studying history at the University of Oxford, he worked as a foreign correspondent and columnist for leading publications, including The Washington Post. He is currently the Paul A. Volcker Senior Fellow for International Economics at the Council on Foreign Relations. Mallaby is widely respected for his deeply researched books on finance, investing, central banking, and global economic policy, combining historical analysis with compelling narrative.
