齊藤誠(さいとう・まこと、1960年生まれ)は、日本の経済学者。一橋大学大学院経営管理研究科特任教授、一橋大学名誉教授。東京大学経済学部卒業後、マサチューセッツ工科大学(MIT)で経済学博士号(Ph.D.)を取得。ブリティッシュコロンビア大学助教授、一橋大学経済学部教授などを経て現職。専門はマクロ経済学、金融論、財政学で、日本経済や金融システム、財政政策、危機管理を実証的かつ理論的に研究している。政府や日本銀行の各種審議会委員も歴任し、日本の経済政策に関する提言を積極的に行っている。著書『長期停滞の経済学』で石橋湛山賞を受賞。著書に『危機と日本銀行』『60年金融論』『教養としてのマクロ経済学』『財政危機の深層』『長期停滞の経済学』などがある。

Makoto Saito (born 1960) is a Japanese economist, Professor Emeritus of Hitotsubashi University and Specially Appointed Professor at the Graduate School of Business Administration, Hitotsubashi University. After graduating from the University of Tokyo, he earned a Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He previously taught at the University of British Columbia before joining Hitotsubashi University, where he became one of Japan's leading scholars in macroeconomics and finance. His research focuses on macroeconomics, monetary economics, public finance, and financial systems, with particular emphasis on Japan's long-term economic challenges, fiscal policy, and financial crises. He has also served on numerous government and Bank of Japan advisory committees, contributing to public policy debates. His book "The Economics of Long-Term Stagnation" received the Ishibashi Tanzan Prize. His other notable books include "Crisis and the Bank of Japan," "Sixty Years of Finance," "Macroeconomics as Liberal Education," "The Deep Roots of the Fiscal Crisis," and "The Economics of Long-Term Stagnation."
