Kei Sanbe is a Japanese manga artist from Hokkaido. He received an honorable mention in the 40th Tezuka Award and was a runner-up in the 41st Tezuka Award before establishing his career as a manga artist. His works often combine suspense and mystery with characters confronting past crimes and the loss of family. His best-known work, "Erased" ("Boku dake ga Inai Machi"), follows a young man who experiences a phenomenon called "Revival," which sends him back in time just before life-threatening incidents occur. When he is transported eighteen years into the past, he attempts to prevent a series of child abductions and murders that took place during his elementary-school years. The manga ranked in the Manga Taisho for three consecutive years and was adapted into both an anime television series and a live-action film.
