『Your Presence Is a Danger to Your Life: Voices of Survival and Witness in Gaza』(未邦訳)は、ガザの生存者への聞き取りを通して、戦争、避難、喪失の経験を当事者の言葉から記録した作品である。
Samar Yazbek (born 1970) is a Syrian novelist, journalist, screenwriter, and human rights activist from Jableh. After supporting the 2011 uprising and publicly opposing Bashar al-Assad’s government, she was forced into exile and settled in France. Between 2012 and 2013, she secretly returned to northern Syria three times to document the lives of civilians and opposition fighters under bombardment; those journeys became “The Crossing.” “Your Presence Is a Danger to Your Life: Voices of Survival and Witness in Gaza” draws on interviews with survivors from Gaza to preserve firsthand accounts of war, displacement, and loss. Leri Price’s English translation was longlisted for the 2026 National Book Award for Translated Literature.
