サマンサ・パワー（Samantha Power、1970年生まれ）は、アイルランド生まれのアメリカの外交官、政治学者、作家。イェール大学卒業後、戦場記者として旧ユーゴスラビア紛争を取材し、ハーバード大学で法務博士号（J.D.）を取得した。同大学ケネディスクール教授を経て、バラク・オバマ政権で国家安全保障会議特別補佐官、2013年から2017年まで第28代アメリカ合衆国国際連合政府代表部大使を務めた。2021年から2025年まではアメリカ合衆国国際開発庁長官を務め、人権、民主主義、人道支援の推進に尽力した。2002年刊行の『A Problem from Hell: America and the Age of Genocide』は、20世紀の大量虐殺とアメリカ外交を検証した研究として高く評価され、2003年のピューリッツァー賞 一般ノンフィクション部門を受賞した。著書に『A Problem from Hell』『Chasing the Flame』『The Education of an Idealist』などがある。 Wikipedia ↗

Samantha Power (born 1970) is an Irish-born American diplomat, scholar, and author. After graduating from Yale University, she worked as a war correspondent covering the conflicts in the former Yugoslavia before earning her J.D. from Harvard Law School. She later joined the faculty of the Harvard Kennedy School and served in the administration of Barack Obama as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights, before becoming the 28th U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations from 2013 to 2017. From 2021 to 2025, she served as Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development. Internationally recognized for her work on human rights, genocide prevention, and U.S. foreign policy, she won the 2003 Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction for "A Problem from Hell: America and the Age of Genocide."
