サマンタ・シュウェブリン（Samanta Schweblin、1978年–）は、アルゼンチンのブエノスアイレスに生まれ、ベルリンを拠点に活動する作家。短篇と小説を中心に、日常のなかへ不穏な出来事が入り込み、家族や身体、テクノロジーをめぐる関係が揺らいでいく過程を、簡潔で緊張感のある文章で描く。農薬による環境汚染と母子の危機を扱った『救出の距離』（Distancia de rescate）は2017年の国際ブッカー賞最終候補となり、短篇集『七つのからっぽな家』（Siete casas vacías）の英訳版は、ミーガン・マクダウェルの翻訳により2022年の全米図書賞翻訳文学部門を受賞した。
Samanta Schweblin (1978–) is an Argentine writer born in Buenos Aires and based in Berlin. Working primarily in short fiction and novels, she uses concise, tightly controlled prose to show unsettling events intruding into everyday life and destabilizing relationships involving families, bodies, and technology. “Fever Dream,” a novel examining environmental contamination and a mother’s desperate attempt to protect her child, was shortlisted for the 2017 International Booker Prize. “Seven Empty Houses,” translated by Megan McDowell, won the 2022 National Book Award for Translated Literature.
