左地亮子（さち りょうこ、Ryoko Sachi、1980–） 文化人類学者。東洋大学社会学部教授。フランスを中心とするヨーロッパのジプシー／ロマ研究を専門とし、移動生活、共同性、宗教、記憶をテーマに長年のフィールドワークを続けている。文化人類学の視点から、定住を前提とする社会の価値観を問い直す研究で知られ、『現代フランスを生きるジプシー―旅に住まうマヌーシュと共同性の人類学』で第39回サントリー学芸賞を受賞した。代表作『ノマドという生き方―旅暮らしの人類学』は、フランスのマヌーシュをはじめとする移動生活者への調査をもとに、移動することの意味や、定住社会では見えにくい自由と共同性のあり方を描いている。

Ryoko Sachi (born 1980) is a Japanese cultural anthropologist and Professor at Toyo University. Specializing in the study of Gypsy/Roma communities in Europe, particularly in France, her research explores mobility, community, religion, and memory through long-term ethnographic fieldwork. She is known for reexamining assumptions about sedentary society from the perspective of mobile communities, and her book "Living with the Gypsies in Contemporary France" received the 39th Suntory Prize for Social Sciences and Humanities. Her best-known book, "The Nomadic Way of Life: An Anthropology of Living on the Move," draws on extensive fieldwork among the Manouche and other mobile communities to portray the meanings of mobility and the forms of freedom and community that often remain unseen in settled societies.
