Louis A. Del Monte is an American physicist, inventor, and technology futurist. For more than thirty years, he led research and development in microelectronics and sensors at IBM and Honeywell, obtaining several patents related to technologies used in integrated-circuit manufacturing. His representative work, "Genius Weapons: Artificial Intelligence, Autonomous Weaponry, and the Future of Warfare," examines the competition among the United States, China, and Russia to develop AI-enabled autonomous weapons and considers how systems capable of attacking without direct human control could transform the speed of warfare, military deterrence, and responsibility for lethal decisions.
