Robert Samuels（ロバート・サミュエルズ）は、アメリカのジャーナリスト、作家。ノースウェスタン大学メディル・スクール・オブ・ジャーナリズム卒業。The Miami Heraldを経て、The Washington Postで全米担当記者として人種、政治、社会問題を精力的に取材し、現在はThe New Yorkerのスタッフライターを務める。人種、格差、アメリカ社会の変容をテーマにした深い取材で高く評価され、数々の報道賞を受賞している。Toluse Olorunnipaとの共著『His Name Is George Floyd: One Man's Life and the Struggle for Racial Justice』は、ジョージ・フロイドの生涯を通してアメリカ社会の構造的人種差別を描いたノンフィクションとして大きな反響を呼び、2023年のピューリッツァー賞 一般ノンフィクション部門を受賞した。
Robert Samuels is an American journalist and author. A graduate of the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, he began his career at The Miami Herald before joining The Washington Post, where he became known for deeply reported stories on race, politics, and the changing American identity. He is currently a staff writer at The New Yorker. Widely recognized for his immersive reporting and narrative journalism, he has received numerous journalism awards. His co-authored book with Toluse Olorunnipa, "His Name Is George Floyd: One Man's Life and the Struggle for Racial Justice," is a landmark work examining George Floyd's life and the systemic racism that shaped it. The book won the 2023 Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction and was also a finalist for the National Book Award.
