ロバート・A・M・スターン(1939年–2025年)は、アメリカの建築家、建築史家、教育者。1969年に建築事務所ロバート・A・M・スターン・アーキテクツを設立し、歴史的な様式や周辺の街並みを現代建築に取り入れる設計を展開した。代表的な建築に、ニューヨークの集合住宅15セントラル・パーク・ウェスト、フィラデルフィアのアメリカ独立革命博物館、イェール大学の学生寮などがある。1998年から2016年までイェール大学建築学部長を務め、2011年にはドリーハウス建築賞を受賞。共著『New York 1960: Architecture and Urbanism Between the Second World War and the Bicentennial』(未邦訳)では、戦後ニューヨークの建築と都市計画を、建物、行政、開発、社会変化を通して記録している。
Robert A. M. Stern (1939–2025) was an American architect, architectural historian, and educator. He founded Robert A. M. Stern Architects in 1969 and developed an approach that adapted historical styles and local building traditions to contemporary architecture. His major projects include 15 Central Park West in New York, the Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia, and residential colleges at Yale University. Stern served as dean of the Yale School of Architecture from 1998 to 2016 and received the Driehaus Architecture Prize in 2011. Co-authored with Thomas Mellins and David Fishman, “New York 1960: Architecture and Urbanism Between the Second World War and the Bicentennial” documents postwar New York through its buildings, planning policies, real-estate development, and social change.
