ロブ・ダン（Rob Dunn）は、アメリカの生物学者、進化生態学者、サイエンスライター。ノースカロライナ州立大学応用生態学部教授を務め、人間と自然の関係を進化や生態学の視点から読み解く研究と執筆で知られる。『ナショナル ジオグラフィック』や『サイエンティフィック・アメリカン』などにも寄稿している。代表作『ネバー・ホーム・アローン――身近な生きものたちの知られざる世界』は、人間の住まいが微生物や昆虫、クモなど無数の生物と共存する生態系であることを明らかにし、日常を新たな視点から見直すきっかけを与えた。近年は『ヒトという種の未来について生物界の法則が教えてくれること』などを通じて、生態学から人類の未来を考察する著作も発表している。
