Lawrence Wright（ローレンス・ライト、1947年生まれ）は、アメリカのジャーナリスト、作家、脚本家。チューレーン大学卒業後、Rolling Stone や Texas Monthly を経て、The New Yorker のスタッフライターとして長年にわたり活動している。テロリズム、中東、宗教、国家安全保障を中心に幅広いテーマを取材し、綿密な調査と卓越した物語性を兼ね備えたノンフィクションで国際的に高く評価されている。2006年刊行の『The Looming Tower: Al-Qaeda and the Road to 9/11』は、アルカイダの台頭と9・11同時多発テロに至る経緯を描いた画期的な作品として、2007年のピューリッツァー賞 一般ノンフィクション部門を受賞した。著書に『Remembering Satan』『Going Clear』『The End of October』『The Looming Tower』などがある。
