Satoshi Ogawa (1986–) is a Japanese novelist whose work moves fluidly across science fiction, mystery, and historical fiction. Through intricate narratives, he explores themes of memory, truth, knowledge, and the structures that shape society. He made his literary debut after winning the Hayakawa Science Fiction Contest in 2015 for "Yutronica no Kochira-gawa" ("This Side of Eutronica"). In 2023, he received the 168th Naoki Prize for "Chizu to Kobushi" ("Maps and Fists"), an epic novel set in early twentieth-century Manchuria that examines colonialism, war, and human ambition through a richly layered historical narrative.
