中山 宥（NAKAYAMA Yu）- 翻訳家

中山宥（なかやま ゆう、1964年–）は、英語の小説、ビジネス書、映画関連書などを手がける日本の翻訳家。トム・ミードの『死と奇術師』『空に浮かぶ密室』では、奇術師ジョセフ・スペクターが不可解な事件を解く本格ミステリを訳している。マイケル・ルイスの『マネー・ボール［完全版］』では、選手の評価にデータを取り入れ、限られた資金で球団を変革する試みを紹介。イアン・ネイサンの『マーティン・スコセッシ』では、監督の歩みと映画作品を通して、暴力や信仰など創作の中心にある主題をたどる。また『イノベーションの地政学』では、技術革新を国家間の競争や国際秩序と結びつける議論を訳している。

Yu Nakayama (born 1964) is a Japanese translator of English-language fiction, business writing, and books about film. Tom Mead’s “Death and the Conjuror” and “The Murder Wheel” feature magician Joseph Spector investigating apparently impossible crimes. Michael Lewis’s “Moneyball” examines the use of statistical analysis to reassess players and reshape a baseball team operating with limited funds. Ian Nathan’s study of Martin Scorsese follows the director’s career and the recurring themes of violence and faith in his films. Nakayama also translates writing on technology and international affairs, including Mehran Gul’s account of innovation and geopolitical competition.
