Michael V. Hayden（マイケル・V・ヘイデン、1945年生まれ）は、アメリカの元空軍大将、情報機関幹部。約40年にわたりアメリカ空軍に勤務した後、National Security Agency（NSA）長官、初代国家情報副長官、そしてCentral Intelligence Agency（CIA）長官を歴任した。NSAとCIAの双方を率いた数少ない人物として知られ、9.11同時多発テロ後の対テロ戦略、情報収集、サイバーセキュリティ政策において中心的な役割を果たした。一方で、監視活動やプライバシーをめぐる議論の渦中に立ったことでも知られる。退任後は国家安全保障、情報活動、サイバー戦略、国際政治に関する講演や執筆を続け、情報機関の役割と民主主義の関係について積極的に発言している。
Michael V. Hayden (born 1945) is an American retired four-star Air Force general and intelligence official. Following a distinguished military career, he served as Director of the National Security Agency (NSA), the first Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence, and later Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), making him one of the few individuals to lead both of the United States' premier intelligence agencies. Hayden played a central role in shaping U.S. intelligence, counterterrorism, and cybersecurity policy in the years following the September 11 attacks, while also becoming a prominent figure in debates over surveillance and civil liberties. Since leaving government service, he has written extensively and spoken widely on national security, intelligence, cyber threats, and the challenges facing democratic societies.
