Michael Chabon（マイケル・シェイボン、1963年生まれ）は、アメリカの小説家、エッセイスト、脚本家。ピッツバーグ大学卒業後、カリフォルニア大学アーバイン校で創作の修士号（M.F.A.）を取得した。歴史、ユダヤ文化、コミック、冒険小説、幻想文学などを巧みに融合させた豊かな物語性と華麗な文体で知られ、現代アメリカ文学を代表する作家の一人とされる。1988年のデビュー作『The Mysteries of Pittsburgh』で注目を集め、2000年刊行の『The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay』は、第二次世界大戦期のアメリカを舞台に、コミック業界で活躍する二人のユダヤ系青年の人生を描いた長編小説として高く評価され、2001年のピューリッツァー賞 フィクション部門を受賞した。著書に『Wonder Boys』『The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay』『The Yiddish Policemen's Union』『Telegraph Avenue』『Moonglow』などがある。

Michael Chabon (born 1963) is an American novelist, essayist, and screenwriter. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, he earned an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of California, Irvine. Widely regarded as one of the leading contemporary American novelists, Chabon is celebrated for his richly imaginative storytelling, elegant prose, and ability to blend history, Jewish culture, comic books, adventure, and speculative fiction. His breakthrough novel The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay (2000), which follows two Jewish cousins in the American comic book industry during World War II, won the 2001 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. His other notable works include The Mysteries of Pittsburgh, Wonder Boys, The Yiddish Policemen's Union, Telegraph Avenue, and Moonglow.
