マシュー・スチュワート（1963年–）は、アメリカの哲学者、歴史家。プリンストン大学で政治哲学を学び、オックスフォード大学でニーチェとドイツ観念論の研究により博士号を取得した。その後、経営コンサルタントとして働いた経験を持ち、現在は独立研究者として哲学史、経営思想、アメリカ社会の不平等について執筆している。『マネジメント神話――現代ビジネス哲学の真実に迫る』（The Management Myth: Debunking Modern Business Philosophy）では、自身のコンサルティング経験と経営思想史を重ね、科学的管理法、組織心理学、戦略論などが科学的根拠を装いながら、経営者の権威やコンサルティング産業を支える教義として利用されてきた過程を検証している。
Matthew Stewart (1963–) is an American philosopher and historian. He studied political philosophy at Princeton University and earned a doctorate from the University of Oxford for research on Nietzsche and German idealism. After working as a management consultant, he became an independent scholar writing about intellectual history, management thought, and economic inequality in American society. In “The Management Myth: Debunking Modern Business Philosophy,” Stewart combines his experience in consulting with a history of management ideas, examining how scientific management, organizational psychology, and corporate strategy have often operated less as verifiable sciences than as doctrines supporting managerial authority and the consulting industry.
