Mark Buckwell（マーク・バックウェル）は、イギリスのクラウドセキュリティアーキテクト、技術コンサルタント、作家。30年以上にわたり情報セキュリティやクラウドアーキテクチャの設計・導入に携わり、金融、公共機関、規制産業など幅広い分野でセキュリティ戦略の策定を支援してきた。現在はクラウドセキュリティ分野の専門家として活動する傍ら、サリー大学やウォーリック大学などでサイバーセキュリティやセキュアシステム設計を教えている。クラウド環境におけるセキュリティ設計やガバナンス、リスク管理を専門とし、実務に基づいた知見をわかりやすく解説する技術者として高く評価されている。2024年刊行の『Security Architecture for Hybrid Cloud』では、ハイブリッドクラウド環境におけるセキュリティアーキテクチャの設計原則や責任分担、ガバナンス、コンプライアンスへの対応について体系的に解説している。
Mark Buckwell is a British cloud security architect, consultant, author, and educator with more than 30 years of experience in information security and cloud architecture. He has designed and delivered security solutions for organizations across finance, government, and other regulated industries. In addition to his consulting work, he teaches cybersecurity and secure architecture at the University of Surrey and the University of Warwick. Buckwell specializes in cloud security, hybrid cloud architecture, governance, risk management, and compliance, and is recognized for translating complex security challenges into practical architectural guidance. His book Security Architecture for Hybrid Cloud (2024), co-authored with Stefaan Van Daele and Carsten Horst, provides a comprehensive framework for designing secure hybrid cloud environments, covering shared responsibility, governance, compliance, and modern security architecture.
