マリアナ・マッツカート（Mariana Mazzucato、1968年 - ）は、イタリア出身の経済学者。ユニバーシティ・カレッジ・ロンドン（UCL）のイノベーションと公共価値の経済学教授で、同大学のInstitute for Innovation and Public Purpose（IIPP）を創設し、所長を務める。イノベーション、産業政策、公共投資を研究し、政府を市場の失敗を補う存在としてではなく、新しい市場や技術を生み出す主体として捉える経済政策を提唱してきた。各国政府や国際機関への政策助言にも携わっている。代表作『企業家としての国家 公共投資がイノベーションを起こす』（原題 The Entrepreneurial State: Debunking Public vs. Private Sector Myths）では、インターネットやスマートフォン、バイオテクノロジーなどの革新を支えた公的投資の役割を検証し、国家が長期的なリスクを引き受けることが民間企業のイノベーションにつながってきた過程を明らかにしている。
Mariana Mazzucato (born 1968) is an Italian economist specializing in innovation, industrial policy, and public value. She is Professor in the Economics of Innovation and Public Value at University College London (UCL) and the founding director of the UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP). Her work challenges the conventional view of government as merely correcting market failures, arguing instead that public institutions can actively create and shape markets and drive technological innovation. She has also advised governments and international organizations on innovation-led and sustainable growth.
