Mariah Blake（マライア・ブレイク） アメリカの調査報道記者。Barnard Collegeで英文学を学び、コロンビア大学大学院でジャーナリズム修士号を取得。『The New York Times』『The Atlantic』『Mother Jones』『The New Republic』など有力メディアに寄稿し、環境問題、公衆衛生、企業不正、政治と規制をめぐる長期的な調査報道で高い評価を受けている。ハーバード大学ニーマン財団のMurrey Marder Nieman Fellow in Watchdog Journalismも務めた。代表作『They Poisoned the World: Life and Death in the Age of Forever Chemicals』（未邦訳）は、PFAS（有機フッ素化合物、いわゆる「永遠の化学物質」）をめぐる化学業界の隠蔽と規制の失敗を、多年にわたる取材と膨大な資料をもとに描いたノンフィクションである。2026年J・アンソニー・ルーカス賞ショートリスト、PEN/E.O. Mariah Blake is an American investigative journalist whose reporting focuses on environmental health, corporate misconduct, public policy, and government accountability. A graduate of Barnard College and Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, she has written for publications including "The New York Times," "The Atlantic," "Mother Jones," and "The New Republic." She was also a Murrey Marder Nieman Fellow in Watchdog Journalism at Harvard University. Her best-known book, "They Poisoned the World: Life and Death in the Age of Forever Chemicals," is a deeply reported investigation into the chemical industry's decades-long concealment of the dangers posed by PFAS, or "forever chemicals." Drawing on years of reporting and thousands of internal documents, the book exposes one of the most significant environmental and public health scandals of the modern era. It was shortlisted for the J. Anthony Lukas Book Prize and named a finalist for the PEN/E.O. Wilson Literary Science Writing Award and the Los Angeles Times Book Prize.
