マーゴ・ジェファーソン（Margo Jefferson、1947年 - ） アメリカの批評家、ジャーナリスト、作家。『ニューズウィーク』や『ニューヨーク・タイムズ』で長年にわたり書評・芸術評論を担当し、1995年に批評部門でピューリッツァー賞を受賞した。人種、階級、ジェンダー、アメリカ文化を鋭い視点で読み解く評論で知られ、現代アメリカを代表するカルチュラル・クリティックの一人である。代表作『Negroland: A Memoir』（未邦訳）は、自身の生い立ちを通して、アフリカ系アメリカ人中流・上流階級の歴史とアイデンティティを描いた回想録である。本書は全米批評家協会賞（自伝部門）を受賞し、ベイリー・ギフォード賞の最終候補にも選ばれた。
Margo Jefferson (born 1947) is an American critic, journalist, memoirist, and academic. A longtime book and arts critic for *The New York Times*, she received the 1995 Pulitzer Prize for Criticism for her incisive writing on literature, race, culture, and the performing arts. Widely regarded as one of America's foremost cultural critics, she examines the intersections of race, class, gender, and identity with exceptional intellectual depth. Her memoir *Negroland* explores her upbringing in Chicago's Black upper-middle class and reflects on the complexities of privilege, history, and selfhood. The book won the National Book Critics Circle Award for Autobiography and was shortlisted for the Baillie Gifford Prize.
