松宮 克昌（MATSUMIYA Katsuyoshi）- 翻訳家

松宮 克昌は、宗教、歴史、社会に関する英語の著作を手がける翻訳家。上智大学文学部を卒業し、日本翻訳家協会評議員を務めた。キャスリーン・ニクシーの『信じる者は、破壊せよ』では、古代末期にキリスト教が勢力を広げるなかで起きた異教の神殿や書物の破壊を扱った。『ホロコーストと外交官』は、ナチスによる迫害からユダヤ人を救うため、査証の発給などに奔走した各国の外交官の記録である。

Katsuyoshi Matsumiya translates English-language writing on religion, history, and society. He graduated from Sophia University’s Faculty of Humanities and served as a councilor of the Japan Association of Translators. His translation of Catherine Nixey’s The Darkening Age examines the destruction of pagan temples, books, and other parts of the classical world during the spread of Christianity in late antiquity. Mordecai Paldiel’s Diplomatic Heroes of the Holocaust records diplomats who used visas and other means to protect Jews from Nazi persecution.
