Hiroyuki Maeda (born 1962) is a Japanese writer and former editorial writer for *Nikkei*. After graduating from the University of Tokyo's Faculty of Economics, he worked as an economic journalist and editorial writer at *Nihon Keizai Shimbun* before becoming an independent author.
