櫛木 理宇（くしき りう、1972年生まれ）は、日本の小説家。新潟県生まれ。2012年、『ホーンテッド・キャンパス』で第19回日本ホラー小説大賞読者賞を受賞しデビュー。同年、『赤と白』で第25回小説すばる新人賞を受賞した。ホラー、ミステリー、サスペンスを中心に、青春小説から心理サスペンス、社会派ミステリーまで幅広い作品を発表している。人間の心の闇や狂気、依存、暴力といったテーマを緻密な心理描写で描く作風で高い評価を受ける一方、『ホーンテッド・キャンパス』シリーズのような青春オカルトミステリーでも多くの読者を魅了している。『死刑にいたる病』は映画化され、『鵜頭川村事件』はテレビドラマ化されるなど、映像化作品も多い。代表作に『ホーンテッド・キャンパス』『死刑にいたる病』『鵜頭川村事件』『殺人依存症』『悲鳴』などがある。
Riu Kushiki (born 1972) is a Japanese novelist best known for her horror, mystery, and psychological suspense fiction. Born in Niigata Prefecture, she made her literary debut in 2012 after winning the Readers' Prize of the 19th Japan Horror Novel Award for Haunted Campus. In the same year, she received the 25th Shosetsu Subaru New Writers' Award for Red and White. Kushiki is acclaimed for exploring the darker aspects of human nature—including obsession, violence, addiction, and psychological trauma—through meticulously crafted suspense narratives. At the same time, her Haunted Campus series has earned a devoted readership for its engaging blend of supernatural mystery, romance, and campus life. Several of her works have been adapted for the screen, including Lesson in Murder (Shikei ni Itaru Yamai) as a feature film and The Cormorant Village Incident (Uzukawamura Jiken) as a television drama. Her notable works include Haunted Campus, Lesson in Murder, The Cormorant Village Incident, Murder Addiction, and Scream.
