窪 美澄（kubo misumi）- 小説家

窪美澄（くぼ みすみ、1965–） 日本の小説家。フリーライターとして活動したのち作家デビュー。家族や恋愛、ジェンダー、孤独といったテーマを繊細な心理描写で描き、現代を生きる人々の揺れ動く感情を丁寧にすくい上げている。2012年、『ふがいない僕は空を見た』で山本周五郎賞を受賞し、2022年には『夜に星を放つ』で第167回直木賞を受賞した。同作は、喪失や孤独を抱えた人々が、それぞれの痛みと向き合いながら他者とのつながりを見いだしていく姿を描いた連作短編集である。

Misumi Kubo (1965–) is a Japanese novelist who began her literary career after working as a freelance writer. Her fiction explores family, love, gender, loneliness, and the emotional complexities of contemporary life with subtle psychological insight. She won the Yamamoto Shūgorō Prize in 2012 for "Fugainai Boku wa Sora o Mita" ("The Cowards Who Looked to the Sky") and received the 167th Naoki Prize in 2022 for "Yoru ni Hoshi o Hanatsu" ("Casting Stars into the Night"). This linked collection of stories follows people living with grief and isolation as they gradually rediscover human connection and hope.
