工藤 哲（KUDO Akira）- ジャーナリスト、毎日新聞記者

工藤哲（くどう あきら、1976年 - ） 日本のジャーナリスト。毎日新聞記者。1999年に毎日新聞社へ入社し、盛岡支局、東京社会部、外信部を経て、中国総局（北京）記者、上海支局長、秋田支局などで取材を重ねてきた。中国社会や国際情勢、高齢化、地域社会などを主なテーマとし、現場での丹念な取材に基づくルポルタージュで知られる。2007年には、無戸籍問題に関するキャンペーン報道で疋田桂一郎賞を受賞した。代表作『ルポ 人が減る社会で起こること――秋田「少子高齢課題県」はいま』は、全国に先駆けて人口減少と高齢化が進む秋田県を丹念に取材し、地域社会が直面する課題と、その中で模索される新たな可能性を描いたノンフィクションである。日本社会がこれから直面する未来を考えるうえで示唆に富む一冊となっている。

Akira Kudo (born 1976) is a Japanese journalist with the *Mainichi Shimbun*. Since joining the newspaper in 1999, he has reported from Morioka, Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai, and Akita, covering topics ranging from Chinese society and international affairs to demographic change and regional communities in Japan. Known for his in-depth, field-based reporting, he has received recognition for investigative journalism, including the Hikita Keiichiro Award for reporting on Japan's undocumented children issue. His best-known book, "Rupo Hito ga Heru Shakai de Okoru Koto: Akita 'Shoshi Korei Kadai-ken' wa Ima" ("Reportage: What Happens in a Shrinking Society"), examines the realities of population decline and rapid aging in Akita Prefecture, offering a compelling portrait of the challenges and possibilities facing local communities in Japan's demographic future.
