グンセリ・ベリック（Günseli Berik）は、フェミニスト経済学、開発経済学を専門とする経済学者。ユタ大学名誉教授。マサチューセッツ大学アマースト校で経済学博士号を取得し、ジェンダーと開発、労働市場、経済格差、ケア労働などを研究してきた。エブル・コンガーと共同編集した『フェミニスト経済学ハンドブック』（原題 The Routledge Handbook of Feminist Economics）では、従来の経済学では捉えにくかった無償の家事・ケア労働をはじめ、ジェンダー、人種、階級などが交差して生じる経済的不平等を幅広く検討。市場で取引される労働やGDPだけでなく、人々の生活を支える活動全体を経済の一部として捉え、経済学を誰の生活をどのように支えるための学問とするのかを問い直している。
Günseli Berik is an economist specializing in feminist economics, development economics, gender and development, and the political economy of gender, class, and ethnicity. Professor Emerita at the University of Utah, she received her PhD in economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and has studied gender inequalities in earnings, working conditions, household time use, and well-being. With Ebru Kongar, she edited "The Routledge Handbook of Feminist Economics," which brings together research on unpaid care work, gender, race, class, inequality, development, and economic policy. By looking beyond market transactions and conventional measures such as GDP, the handbook examines the full range of activities that sustain human life and considers how economics can better account for well-being, equality, and social provisioning.
