クリストファー・ソレンティーノ（Christopher Sorrentino、1963年–）は、アメリカの小説家、エッセイスト。ニューヨークに生まれ、小説家ギルバート・ソレンティーノを父に持ち、イタリア系とプエルトリコ系の家庭で育った。新聞王の孫娘パトリシア・ハースト誘拐事件と彼女が加わった武装組織を題材にした『Trance』（未邦訳）は、全米図書賞の最終候補となった。『The Fugitives』（未邦訳）では、人目を避けて暮らす作家と彼を取材する記者を通して、人種的アイデンティティ、文学的名声、創作と偽装の境界を描いている。実際の事件やメディアによって作られた物語を取り込みながら、記憶、家族、出自、自己演出を複数の視点と風刺を交えて検証している。

Christopher Sorrentino (1963–) is an American novelist and essayist. Born in New York City, he is the son of novelist Gilbert Sorrentino and grew up in a family of Italian and Puerto Rican heritage. “Trance,” a fictional reconstruction of the kidnapping of newspaper heiress Patricia Hearst and her involvement with a militant organization, was a finalist for the National Book Award. “The Fugitives” uses the relationship between a reclusive writer and a journalist investigating him to explore racial identity, literary fame, and the boundary between invention and deception. Incorporating historical events and media-generated narratives, his work examines memory, family, ancestry, and self-fashioning through shifting perspectives and satire.
