クリストファー・ブラットマン（Christopher Blattman、1977–）は、カナダの経済学者、政治学者。シカゴ大学ハリス公共政策大学院教授を務め、紛争、貧困、犯罪、ガバナンス、経済発展を専門としている。現地調査やランダム化比較試験（RCT）を活用した実証研究で知られ、暴力や紛争が生まれる要因と、それを抑制するための政策を多角的に分析してきた。著書『Why We Fight』では、戦争や内戦、犯罪、個人間の対立に共通するメカニズムを明らかにし、暴力を防ぐための条件を経済学と政治学の視点から考察している。
Christopher Blattman (1977–) is a Canadian economist and political scientist. He is the Ramalee E. Pearson Professor of Global Conflict Studies at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy, where his research focuses on conflict, crime, poverty, governance, and economic development. Known for combining fieldwork with randomized controlled trials and other empirical methods, he studies the causes of violence and evaluates policies aimed at reducing conflict and improving social welfare. In Why We Fight, he examines the forces that drive wars, civil conflicts, crime, and interpersonal violence, offering an evidence-based framework for understanding how conflict can be prevented.
