クリスティン・ウェッブ（Christine Webb）は、アメリカの霊長類学者、動物行動学者、環境思想研究者。霊長類の社会行動や認知、感情を研究するとともに、人間中心主義が科学や環境倫理に与える影響についても探究している。ニューヨーク大学環境学部助教授を務め、動物研究（Animal Studies）の分野で学際的な研究を進めている。代表作『The Arrogant Ape』（未邦訳）は、人類が自らを「特別な存在」と見なしてきた考え方を最新の動物行動学や進化学の知見から再検討し、人間と他の動物との関係を新たな視点で捉え直した一冊として注目を集めている。
Christine Webb is an American primatologist, animal behavior researcher, and environmental scholar. An Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies at New York University, she studies the social behavior, cognition, and emotions of nonhuman primates while also examining how human exceptionalism has shaped scientific understanding of animals and the natural world. Her book *The Arrogant Ape* challenges the long-standing assumption of human superiority, drawing on contemporary research in animal behavior and evolution to present a more nuanced view of humanity's place within the living world.
