Chuya Koyama (born 1978) is a Japanese manga artist. He began serializing "Space Brothers" ("Uchū Kyōdai") in 2007, earning widespread acclaim for its story of two brothers pursuing their dream of becoming astronauts. The series won the 56th Shogakukan Manga Award and the 38th Kodansha Manga Award and has been adapted into both an anime television series and a live-action film. Known for combining accurate depictions of space exploration with compelling human drama, Koyama has become one of Japan's leading contemporary manga creators.
