小坂 恵理（KOSAKA Eri）- 翻訳家

小坂 恵理（こさか えり）は、経済、歴史、科学、社会問題などの英語ノンフィクションを訳す翻訳家。慶應義塾大学文学部英米文学科を卒業した。ニコラ・トゥイリーの『冷蔵庫 「冷やす箱」が起こした物流革命』では、食品を低温で運ぶ仕組みが食生活、産業、環境を変えてきた過程を描く著作を翻訳。身近な家電から、世界に張り巡らされたコールドチェーンへと視野を広げる内容を紹介している。ダン・バーバーの『食の未来のためのフィールドノート』と、その改題新装版『サードフード』では、料理人が農家や生産者を訪ねながら、持続可能な食のあり方を探る記録を訳した。また、『マーシャル・プラン』や『OUTLIVE』など、国際経済の歴史から健康と長寿の科学まで幅広い著作を手がけている。

Eri Kosaka is a Japanese translator of English-language nonfiction on economics, history, science, and society. She graduated from Keio University’s Faculty of Letters. In Nicola Twilley’s “Frostbite,” published in Japanese as “Reizoko,” she translated an account of how refrigeration and cold chains have reshaped food, industry, and the environment. She also translated Dan Barber’s “The Third Plate,” first published in Japanese as “Shoku no Mirai no tame no Firudo Noto” and later reissued as “Sado Fudo.” It follows a chef’s investigations of farming and food production. Her translations range from the history of the Marshall Plan to the science of longevity in “Outlive.”
