河野 純治（KONO Junji）- 翻訳家

河野 純治は、国際政治、歴史、報道を中心に手がける翻訳家。1962年生まれ、明治大学法学部法律学科卒業。『趙紫陽極秘回想録』では、中国の改革開放と天安門事件をめぐる元指導者の証言を訳した。『アフガニスタン・ペーパーズ』は、米政府が長期にわたる戦争について何を把握し、公表してきたのかを内部文書と証言から追う調査報道である。アントニー・ローウェンスティンの『パレスチナ実験場』では、占領地で使われる軍事・監視技術とその国際的な取引が取り上げられる。

Junji Kono is a Japanese translator of international affairs, history, and journalism. Born in 1962, he graduated from the law department of Meiji University. His translation of Prisoner of the State presents Zhao Ziyang’s account of China’s reforms and the Tiananmen crisis. The Afghanistan Papers examines, through internal documents and interviews, what American officials knew and publicly said about the prolonged war. Antony Loewenstein’s The Palestine Laboratory investigates military and surveillance technologies used in the occupied Palestinian territories and their international trade.
