略歴(Biography)
近藤絢子(こんどう・あやこ、1979年生まれ)は、日本の経済学者。東京大学社会科学研究所教授。東京大学経済学部卒業後、Columbia University大学院で経済学の博士号(Ph.D.)を取得。大阪大学講師、法政大学准教授、横浜国立大学准教授、東京大学社会科学研究所准教授を経て、2020年より現職。専門は労働経済学で、雇用、賃金、少子化、保育、社会保障、就職氷河期世代など、日本の労働市場が抱える課題を実証データに基づいて分析している。2023年に日本学士院学術奨励賞、2024年に円城寺次郎記念賞を受賞。著書に『就職氷河期世代』『世の中を知る、考える、変えていく』(編著)、『人手不足なのになぜ賃金が上がらないのか』(共著)、『日本の労働市場』(共著)などがある。
Ayako Kondo (born 1979) is a Japanese economist and Professor at the Institute of Social Science, the University of Tokyo. After graduating from the University of Tokyo, she earned a Ph.D. in Economics from Columbia University. She previously held academic positions at Osaka University, Hosei University, Yokohama National University, and the University of Tokyo before becoming Professor in 2020. Specializing in labor economics, her research focuses on employment, wages, childcare, social security, demographic change, and the long-term effects of Japan's "Employment Ice Age" generation, using large-scale administrative and survey data. She received the Japan Academy Medal in 2023 and the Jiro Enjoji Memorial Award in 2024. Her notable books include "The Employment Ice Age Generation," "Understanding, Thinking About, and Changing Society" (editor), "Why Aren't Wages Rising Despite Labor Shortages?" (co-author), and "Japan's Labor Market" (co-author).
