Mizune Koike, born in 1991, is a Japanese novelist from Tokyo. After graduating from Keio University’s Faculty of Policy Management, she made her debut by winning the Shincho Prize for New Writers in 2020 for “Wakaranai Mama de.” Her first book, “Iki,” centers on a sister and brother who shared the suffering of childhood asthma and traces how the surviving family lives with loss after the brother’s death.
