小金 輝彦（KOGANE Teruhiko）- 翻訳家

小金 輝彦（こがね てるひこ）は、英語とフランス語の書籍を訳す翻訳家。早稲田大学政治経済学部を卒業し、ラトガース大学でMBAを取得した。国際政治や経済、ビジネスに加え、美術や天文学にかかわる書籍も手がける。ケイシー・ミシェルの『ロビイストに蝕まれるアメリカ』（原題 “Foreign Agents”）では、独裁政権や腐敗政権の代理人として米国の世論や政策に働きかける人々の実態を描いた調査報道を翻訳。資金と宣伝活動が民主主義に与える影響をたどる内容となっている。また、『ゴッホが見た星月夜』では、絵画などに残された空や光景を天文学から検証する著作を訳した。専門分野を横断し、政治の背後にある仕組みや、作品に刻まれた手がかりを読み解く書籍を紹介している。

Teruhiko Kogane is a Japanese translator working from English and French. He graduated from Waseda University’s School of Political Science and Economics and earned an MBA at Rutgers University. His translations cover international politics, economics, business, art, and astronomy. In Casey Michel’s “Foreign Agents,” he translated an investigation of people who lobby and shape public opinion in the United States on behalf of authoritarian and corrupt governments. The book examines the relationships among money, publicity, and democratic institutions. Kogane has also translated a book on astronomical investigations of scenes preserved in art, including Van Gogh’s paintings, bringing together historical evidence and scientific interpretation.
