Yukari Kobayashi translates English-language nonfiction on science and society. She graduated from the English department of Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. Her translation of P. W. Singer’s Wired for War examines how robotic weapons alter warfare and questions of responsibility. In LikeWar, by Singer and Emerson T. Brooking, the focus shifts to propaganda, manipulation, and conflict on social media. Adam Rutherford’s How to Argue With a Racist considers the historical use of genetics to support racial prejudice and the scientific evidence against such arguments.
